Playing To Learn: Puzzle and Mazes

Puzzle and Maze means consentrate on hard puzzles, well that's what I think. Sometimes you need critical thinking skills on some puzzle games. Some of them are just to hard, but they're a cool challenge.


1. The Game that taught me a new skill or subject: The game that taught me a new skill and subject was "TILT".
2. The Game that taught me information about a new or existing social issue: I don't really know if any games I played taught me information about a social issue?
3. The game or games I liked the best: The two games liked the best were 'TILT" and "Wake Up The Box 2". 
4. What happens in the game or games: In "TILT" you have two get a little ball into a little hole by tilting a board. On "Wake Up The Box 2" you have to wake up the box by making him fall on whatever he's on.
5. How you play the game or games: You play "TILT" by  tilting a board with a ball on it and trying to make it into a little black hole.

Playing To Learn: Adventure

A adventure game consists of a central theme or story that makes it a good adventure. I think adventure means different levels every time you pass a level. Other ways I could describe adventure is surprise and amazement. There's more ways that I could describe the word adventure!

"Super Chick Sisters" taught me about a new social issue. It taught me how McDonalds mistreats chickens to make food.

In "Super Chick Sisters" some Ronald McDonald (bad one) kidnappes the princes and two little chicks save her.

I think the most successful game is "Super Chick Sisters". The game gives you information about how McDonald's mistreats chickens to make food.

September 11

1. How old were you on September 11, 2001?\
I think I was four years old when that happened? But I'm pretty sure I was four.

2. When did you first learn about the attacks and who explained the events to you? I first learned about the 9/11 attack when I was four years old. My mom told me and it was also on the news.

3. What kind of impact did these attacks have on your life or your parents lives? I dont really think that it impact my or my parents lifes,besides my parents and I feeling bad and sad for all the people who lost someone in that attack and for all the other people who died.

1. What was the issue with this game?

It showed the/United States in a bad way because it was showing the U.S as helpless and unable to do anything

2. How do you feel about it? I feel like it represents the U.S weak and that they could not control the people and the Twin Towers.

3. What is the problem with portraying on such an awful violent event through a video game? It showed the United States in a negative way.

4. How can you make sure that your web games tell the whole story or teach a lesson in an honorable way? My game will probably honor all the people who lost and risked their lifes.

"Danger of a Single Story"

1.What does it mean to have a 'single story' about a place or community?

I think it means an impression on a person place or thing.

2.Describe a single story you have heard told about your community. What is missing from that story? How could people learn more about that community?

A single story about East Austin is that we have poor education and that our economy is very bad.

3.Describe a single story you have heard about another community. How did you learn that story? How could you find out more about that community?

A single story I heard is about South Side, that they have better education and nicer houses. But in South Side it leads to bigger problems.

4.How could a game let players experience many stories about a place or a community?

Its telling people the stereo type about other people like for example if in the game it shows African Americans steeling from people or places that's a stereo type.

A Cyberbully is a person who keeps on bullying you,harassing you, or evan embarrass you through Internet or cell phones. My class and I have been watching a movie in Tech class called "Cyberbully". The movie "Cyberbuly" is about a girl who gets bullied on the internet because of a roomer a mystery person said on a website called "Clicksters". The girls name was Taylor,she was getting cyberbullied and then she got to the point that she wanted to kill herself. So it all started when Taylor got a new laptop and she made herself an account on "Clicksters"
