Game review blog



  • What did you learn from your choice of games and genres to review?
       That not all games that are supposedly educational are not educational.

Playing To Learn: Car, Sports racing

Cars, Football, Soccer, Basketball and people racing are example of things that might race. These games try to mimic the real world life. 


1. The Game that taught me a new skill or subject: The game "Basketballs" taught me a little bit about math.
2. The Game that taught me information about a new or existing social issue:"Atv Destroyer" taught me that there are some places that have a lot of litter
3. The game or games that I liked the best:
The game that I liked was "Basketballs" and "Atv Destroyer".
4. What happens in the game or games:
In "Atv Destroyer" you control a bike and you have to destroy some old cars that are in the middle of no where to get some points.

You play "Atv Destroyer" with arrow keys and the space bar.

Playing to learn: Strategy

Strategy games need a lot of critical thinking skills and careful decision's. Strategy games could take a while to just complete one level.


1. The Game that taught me a new skill or subject:
"Bloxors" taught me more critical thinking skills.
2. The Game that taught me information about a new or existing social issue:I played a game that teaches people about some animals that are going extincted, but I don't remember what it was called?
3. The game or games that I liked the best:
"Bloxors" and "basketball"
4. What happens in the game or games:
In "Bloxors" you have to put a rectangle in a cube hole.
5. How you play the game or games:

You play "Bloxors" by trying to control a rectangle into a cube shaped hole with the arrow keys.

Playing To Learn: Puzzle and Mazes

Puzzle and Maze means consentrate on hard puzzles, well that's what I think. Sometimes you need critical thinking skills on some puzzle games. Some of them are just to hard, but they're a cool challenge.


1. The Game that taught me a new skill or subject: The game that taught me a new skill and subject was "TILT".
2. The Game that taught me information about a new or existing social issue:
I don't really know if any games I played taught me information about a social issue?
3. The game or games I liked the best: The two games liked the best were 'TILT" and "Wake Up The Box 2". 

4. What happens in the game or games: In "TILT" you have two get a little ball into a little hole by tilting a board. On "Wake Up The Box 2" you have to wake up the box by making him fall on whatever he's on.
5. How you play the game or games: You play "TILT" by  tilting a board with a ball on it and trying to make it into a little black hole.

Playing To Learn: Adventure

A adventure game consists of a central theme or story that makes it a good adventure. I think adventure means different levels every time you pass a level. Other ways I could describe adventure is surprise and amazement. There's more ways that I could describe the word adventure!

1. The game or games that taught me a new educational skill or gave information on a subject:
"Super Chick Sisters"
2. The game or games that taught me about a new or existing social issue:
"Super Chick Sisters" taught me about a new social issue. It taught me how McDonalds mistreats chickens to make food.

3. The game or games I liked best:
The Game I liked the best was "Super Chick Sisters". I liked it the best because its cool and has a lot of adventure! 
4. What happens in the game or games:
In "Super Chick Sisters" some Ronald McDonald (bad one) kidnappes the princes and two little chicks save her. 

5. How you play the game or games:
You play the game with the arrow keys and the space bar.(control the chicks)

Genre Action

Which are most successful in getting you to think and learn new information about a social issue or educational subjects? 
I think the most successful game is "Super Chick Sisters". The game gives you information about how McDonald's mistreats chickens to make food.
What does each game do?
Tells you information about a social issue or or some are even about educational subjects.
How was the game made?
I don't really know how the game was made?
How do you play it?
You play the game by using the arrow keys to move and the space bar to jump, to tell you the truth its actually like "Super Mario Bros."
Game I liked the best?
The Game I liked the best was "Super Chick Sisters". I liked it the best because its cool and has a lot of adventure!
